The Mishkan

The writer of the book of Hebrews reminds us once again that the Mish’kan built on earth, of earthly materials, was only a finite representation of the infinite Mish’kan in Heaven.  As man was made by the Creator b’tzelem Elohim [in the image (or shadow) of God], so the earthly sanctuary was made by man b’tzelem Mish’kan  — in the image (or shadow) of the true Mish’kan.
